FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


Q. What file formats do you support?
A. Overall we work on PC base design computers.
If files are produced on MAC systems please make sure fonts have been outlined (converted to curves) and files are made to PC format. A link is provided in the Resources section for file types we support.

Any questions pertaining to file formats or graphic resolution please contact our design team in our office.

Q.What are your payment terms?
A. All orders are COD unless prior credit arrangements have been made. Company accounts may be established with an approved credit application. Credit terms are 15 / 30 days net. Accounts exceeding 45 days will be placed on a COD basis.

We also accept debit cards, VISA and Mastercard

Q. What is a typical turn around time for sign or printing production?
A. Turnaround time on most jobs using standard materials, unless specified, is 24 to 48 hours. All work will be ready for pick up by the "end-of-day" on the due date unless earlier arrangements have been made. Work requested in less than 24 hours is subject to "RUSH" charge. Turnaround times are based on "reasonable" quantities and production schedules. Larger jobs may take longer but the job will be done when we say it will be done. All orders are subject to a "first come - first serve" basis unless other arrangements are made.

Q. What about client provided files?
A. We make every effort to check potential problems, but cannot be held responsible for files we do not create. This includes, but is not limited to, content, resolution of raster data or image quality of client files, spelling, or grammar. Fonts, scans and any other reference files must be included on disk along with the actual file to be imaged.

Q. How do I send large files to you for producing signs or printing?
A. A Speedpro FTP site is available for you to upload large files. A link is provided in the File Transfer section on our menu bar. We also have an alternate FTP site for your use in case you have problems with the first one. Please notify us by e-mail or call us once you have finished uploading a file as we are not notified automatically. Uploaded files will be automatically deleted once they have been downloaded for production.

Q.How do I actually place my order?
A.
On your first contact with our helpful staff, we will ask you about the purpose of your sign, where it will be used, how far away you need it to be visible from, how long you want it to last, what artwork you want on it, and how it will need to be installed. We make sure to share our expertise so you get signs and graphics that really work for you. From there, we’ll give you a quote, often right away, on the most cost effective way to accomplish your goals. Once you place your order, we will design your sign and you will receive a proof (via email, fax or in person) showing how your sign will look and all the specifications listed for you to double check, approve and return to us. Once we have your approval, we produce your sign, install or have it ready for pick up by the date and time it was promised.

Q. Do you provide proofs before comencing production?
A. It is our policy that customers will "sign off" a proof sheet prior to production. We make every effort to include all relevant details pertaining to the sign in the proof sheet.

Clients are advised to submit "sample print proofs" along with their file. We assume no responsibility for output discrepancies in files submitted without proofs. Because of variations in monitors, inks, film, imaging equipment and processing, "color critical" files require a test print. We are only able to accurately match "process colours" as referenced in the Pantone colour chart. If your artwork uses a specific pantone color, please specify the coated pantone number.

Q. What about copyrights and Trademarks?
A. It is given that reproduction, in any form, of copyrighted materials without prior permission of the originator, is illegal. It is the responsibility of the client to obtain such permission.
